Georgia Reopens Dwight Howard Child Abuse Case
It is being reported today that Dwight Howard, the center for the Houston Rockets, is being investigated for child abuse in Georgia. Yesterday, Florida announced that it had closed a child abuse investigation of Howard with no charges due to a lack of evidence. Just in case anyone was wondering this is the same child from the Florida case. The incident with the child actually occured in Georgia. Now that the case in Florida has been closed, Georgia has opened an investigation.
Howard is accused of hitting his 6 year old son with the buckle end of a belt. Howard used the same defense as Adrian Peterson. Howard claimed he was just disciplining his son and did not know what he did was wrong because that is how his parents disciplined him when he was a child.
