Giving a blind co-worker a ride home today we stopped to get over the counter meds for his wife and kids who are sick. I asked if he wanted me to mark the four identically packaged (store brands) in some way. He is as IT instructor so he is very technically savvy. "No, I have a reader and an app". Amazing.
About TapTapSee
TapTapSee is a mobile camera application designed specifically for the blind and visually impaired iOS users. The app utilizes the iDevices camera and VoiceOver functions to photograph objects and identify them out loud for the user.
TapTapSee enables the user to double tap on the devices screen to photograph any two or three dimensional object at any angle, have it accurately analyzed, and defined within seconds. The iDevices VoiceOver then speaks the identification audibly to the user.
