Obama Obama Obama....why don't we hold CONgress responsible for the mess we are in?

CONgress has been screwing things up for much longer than Obama has been in office, and they will continue long into the future.

The media likes to focus on Obama, because he is a personality, which we can bash and blame for everything.

But, Did Obama, for instance, write the patriot act full of government intrustion which Republicans complain about incessantly?

Because CONgress is about to reauthorize it

The U.S. Senate is about to reauthorize the Patriot Act and no one is talking about it

Why don't we force Congress to stop complaining about Obama and answer to this gross violation of the Constitution that the American people hate?

The Patriot Act is a violation of our rights as citizens, and should be cause to have all of Congress immediately fired for violation of their oath of office.

They would actually have to defend their actions/inaction on almost every issue of our time. Yesterday at work a co-worker mentioned a film about Nixon coming out (or out already) starring Harry Shearer and she said (she was born in 1971) "I'd rather have Nixon than what we have now." Heartbreaking, but that's where we are now. I feel we have already passed the tipping point.

of perhaps trillions of dollars made us even an iota safer? Inquiring minds want to know. Are we safer by allowing folk to pack a semi-automatic weapon on each hip even in public places, or does any of the aforesaid care a whit or give a tinker's damn how many Americans have been made unsafe by such sheer madness?

They need all of our money to protect us and it will never be enough, but can't we still give them more?
