5. I think he's just another asshole cop who thought nobody would

care about victim. Cops aren't expected to be accountable for their actions these days. In his eyes, it was a routine shooting, and it would have been perceived that way by the authorities if the people hadn't raised hell this time.

There's a lesson for all of us to learn from the protests in Ferguson. The only way the people can get change from our government anymore is by getting out in the streets and raising hell and not giving up. We can't vote them out; they become just like the people we threw out after they're elected. We can't shoot them out; we have nothing like the weapons the government has. Massive civil disobedience and general strikes are the way to go. It won't be easy, but not many worthwhile efforts are easy.
