Who did our TN voting machines vote for? Nashville's Cora Howe voters are about to find out.

THIS LEAFLET IS HITTING THE EAST NASHVILLE STREETS THIS AFTERNOON. IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW LIVES IN EAST NASHVILLE, COME TO THIS PLANNING MEETING TONIGHT AND VOLUNTEER FOR ELECTION JUSTICE. HERE'S THE SCOOP:

-----------------

WHO DID OUR VOTING MACHINES VOTE FOR?

CORA HOWE VOTERS (Nashville District 6, precinct 5) ARE ABOUT TO FIND OUT.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

IF YOU VOTED IN THE CORA HOWE PRECINCT (District 6, precinct 5) IN NASHVILLE, TN DURING THIS PAST ELECTION, WE WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COUNTRY. OVER 41% OF YOU TURNED OUT TO THE POLLS, A VOTER PARTICIPATION RATE THAT WAS 50% HIGHER THAN THE REST OF TENNESSEE. CLEARLY, CORA HOWE VOTERS ARE ENGAGED AND ACTIVE IN EXERCISING YOUR FRANCHISE. YOU ARE TO BE COMMENDED.

HOWEVER, REPORTS SURFACED ELECTION NIGHT AND IN SUBSEQUENT DAYS TO RAISE QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW YOUR VOTES WERE COUNTED. WITH THE VOTING EQUIPMENT THAT WE NOW USE (IN 93 OF TENNESSEE’S 95 COUNTIES), THERE IS NO WAY TO AUDIT THE EQUIPMENT TO DETERMINE HOW YOUR VOTES WERE COUNTED. SO SOME TENNESSEE VOTERS HAVE DECIDED TO FIND OUT OURSELVES, THROUGH THE CORA HOWE EXIT POLL STUDY.

STARTING THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, AND CONTINUING FOR A FULL WEEK, WE HOPE TO ENROLL EVERY CORA HOWE VOTER (N = 876) WHO VOTED THIS YEAR IN THIS STUDY. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REPORT ON AN ANONYMOUS PAPER “BALLOT” HOW YOU VOTED ON THREE CONTESTS (GOVERNOR, US SENATOR AND AMENDMENT 1). YOU’LL PLACE YOUR BALLOT IN A GLASS BALLOT BOX, WHERE IT WILL REMAIN UNTIL WE UNLOCK THE BOX ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30, AND COUNT THE PAPER “BALLOTS” IN PUBLIC.

IF ALMOST ALL CORA HOWE VOTERS PARTICIPATE, WE WILL THEN KNOW WHETHER OUR VOTES WERE ACCURATELY RECORDED AND REFLECTED BY THE VOTING MACHINES TOTALS OR WHETHER (AS MANY FEAR), THEY DO NOT AGREE. THEN WE’LL SHARE THOSE FINDINGS WITH THE WORLD.

IN ONE WEEK, WE’LL KNOW WHERE WE STAND.

AND CORA HOWE VOTERS WILL HELP US GET THERE.

YOU ARE THE ONES WE NEED.

COME TO TONIGHT’S CORA HOWE EXIT POLL STUDY PLANNING MEETING

7:00 PM, EAST SIDE STORY BOOKSTORE, 1108 WOODLAND , UNIT B

(BESIDE THE TOMATO ART GALLERY)

Study participants will be eligible to win Kroger gift cards worth $300, $200, $100, and $50.
Please take a few minutes to participate in this study. Let your voices be heard AGAIN.

You could've knocked me down with a feather.

Good luck.

S. Carolina's Democratic Party wouldn't even listen to the computer experts who told them that Alvin Greene's overwhelming win the Dem primary was almost certainly a computer failure of some kind. Remember? The black candidate who didn't even bother to campaign, who had never run before, whose name was known to nobody, beating the favored candidate who conducted a good campaign and was apparently well-liked.

I guess it falls to the individual voters to take the reins when the Dem Party won't do its job.
