(3,709 posts)"Too bad they were scammed out of those FOUR play stations (seriously...no, SERIOUSLY, stealing IS wrong). However, their press release about the topic got me wondering what it might look like if it were applied to their employee wages (like matching Costco). Hmmmm. Imagine this:
" 'We launched wage matching because its the right thing for our economy,' a Walmart representative shared with us this week. 'Its making a meaningful difference for employees who want to feel confident theyre able to pay for rent and food, and were committed to matching employee wages going forward
At the same time, we cant tolerate fraud or attempts to trick our cashiers by paying them poor wages while making billions ourselves. This kind of activity is unfair to the thousands of employees who count on us every day for honest value for their work.'
" 'With this in mind,' the spokesperson added, 'We have updated our price and wage policy to clarify that we will not only match prices from Costco, but we will not honor and match wages paid by employers of current migrant workers, employers of third-world country laborers, human trafficking sites, and any and all employers requiring employees to work at second and third jobs in order to survive.'

(3,709 posts)Four PlaysStation consoles or PlayStation 4 consoles---either way, doesn't matter---I thought it was funny and whoever wrote it, in my opinion, should be working for The Onion.

Kinda funny considering they get ripped off far more thru shoplifting no receipt gift card exchanges.
