Back in 1976...

If I said to anyone (and I do mean anyone,) that not the winner of the '76 election, rather the winner of the next election would get shot by a guy who is certifiably nuts. he'll shoot the President with a cheap gun he buys at a pawn shop.

Anyone here would say I was crazy.
It's just so crazy a scenario.

But it happened in 1981.

Just like I describe.

So is it so crazy for a far-left nutball who had already taken a shot at a far-right general, (he missed,) to take three shots at a President he hated with a burning passion?

Is it also crazy for a guy to run into the White House past the Secret Service, armed with a knife?
