BIG NEWS: Governor Siegelman Daughter Dana a Victim Hit & Run!

Last edited Wed Nov 26, 2014, 05:27 PM - Edit history (1)

Dana Siegelman, the daughter of Governor Siegelman (corruptly put in jail by Rover ReThugs) - was riding her bike and hit by a car. She has undergone a couple of surgeries, skin grafts too. Unfortunately, her physical state will prevent her from attending the December 15, 2014 hearing in Montgomery, Alabama (for her dad - Governor Siegelman).

Reported by Tim Lennox Online BLOG (here);

Dana Siegelman, daughter of former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, while riding her bicycle home from working at a small café was hit by a speeding car. She was hospitalized and has undergone two surgeries. Dana needs your prayers, and if you can, your financial support. Please read this to understand why I am making this heartfelt plea.

For those of you who have been following Governor Siegelman's saga (railroaded into prison by Karl Rove's gang); Dana Siegelman (pic above provided by Tim Lennox Online Blog and reduced by fellow DU'r as noted in comment 19 below) - is the Governor's key activist. Judge Mark Fuller, who was part of the scheme to rail-road the Governor, wound up in the hot seat of assaulting his wife in public and is leaving his office. As a result - Fuller's cases are being reassigned; and Governor Siegelman has a hearing on December 15, 2014 - in Montgomery, Alabama - with the New Judge (GWB appointee - Georgia Justice CLAY LAND).

Ledger Enquirer article: Federal Judge Clay Land assigned Don Siegelman's case

The Ledger Enquirer states that;

After all of the federal judges in the Middle District of Alabama recused themselves, Judge Clay Land of the Middle District of Georgia has been appointed to hear the appeal by former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman.

Land wasted no time in setting a hearing on Siegelman’s motion to be free while he appeals his conviction.

Land set a Dec. 15 hearing for 10:30 a.m. in Montgomery. Siegelman, who is 68 and currently in a Louisiana prison, will be present

Dana Siegelman Needs HELP!
[br]
Please consider helping Dana Siegelman?

Send a card (money if you can) and post, repost - do your own thread - all that you can to help- PLEASE?

Tim Lennox Online BLOG (here) states that he personally spoke to Governor Siegelman and that:

Don {Governor Siegelman} says, “Dana is sad because she won’t be able to be with me on December 15th, and I am sad because I can’t be with her.”

Dana will return to the skin graft doctor on Tuesday. She'll remain under the doctor's supervision to ensure that the skin graft "takes" and doesn't get infected.

Would you send prayers for God to give Dana strength as she recovers, cards to help her spirits and if you are able a financial donation to ease her worries about finances as she goes down the road to recovery. Dana’s mailing address is: Dana Siegelman, 1257 East 1st Street, Long Beach, CA 90802

UPDATE: Pam tells me Dana is out of the hospital.

Governor Siegelman's case was so bogus - that Attorney Generals (current and former) wrote friend of the court briefs stating the prosecution was absolutely absurd.

Health Company owner/CEO was on a board.

When Governor Siegelman renamed him to the board, because Mr. Scrushy was the no.1 supporter of Governor Siegelman; the ReThugs solved their losing control of Alabama (and possibly every POTUS election thereafter) - by simply making up crap.

Judge Fuller became rich by oil dealings;
and even had Governor Siegelman put in handcuffs.
(refused to let him post bond for an appeal).

U.S. Attorney Canary was supposed to recuse herself
(as her husband was a Karl Rove buddy and supporter of Riley's)
But a Karl Rove worker (Jill Simpson) came forth and said it was all rigged.

Governor Siegelman was railroaded for putting Scrushy on a Board he had always been upon.

Other politicians do the same things he did and their conduct is not considered to be criminal.

The charges were bogus. The evidence was very possibly false.

Most of our state governments, maybe none of our state governments with their system of commissions and appointments by the governor could survive if what Siegelman was accused of doing was really illegal.

reliable due to pressure on that witness from the prosecution.

I said possibly --- because the evidence is shaky.

Testimony of the star witness

Witness Nick Bailey, who provided the cornerstone testimony upon which the conviction was based, was subsequently convicted of extortion; having been facing 10 years in prison, Bailey had cooperated with prosecutors to lighten his own sentence. Although he engaged in over 70 interviews with the prosecution against Siegelman, none of the notes detailing these interviews were shared with the defense. In addition, after the case was tried it was confirmed that the check he testified he saw Scrushy write for Siegelman was actually written days later, when he was not actually present.[27][28]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Siegelman#Testimony_of_the_star_witness

The case against Siegelman was ridiculous. Governors appoint people who have donated to causes the governors support all the time in our country.

I favor publicly funded elections to the extent possible because our system of funding elections unavoidably leads to the appearance of corruption and often actual corruption.

Know your BFEE: Siegelman Judge is a big-time War Profiteer

U.S. Judge Mark E. Fuller, the guy who helped railroad Gov. Don Siegelman.

Fuller just happens to be the owner of a company that's made a huge fortune off the Pentagon and War Inc via no-bid crony War on Terror largesse.

The Pork Barrel World of Judge Mark Fuller

By Scott Horton
Harper's August 6, 2007, 5:14 pm

For the last week, we’ve been examining the role played by Judge Mark Everett Fuller in the trial, conviction, and sentencing of former Alabama Governor Don E. Siegelman. Today, we examine a post-trial motion, filed in April 2007, asking Fuller to recuse himself based on his extensive private business interests, which turn very heavily on contracts with the United States Government, including the Department of Justice.

The recusal motion rested upon details about Fuller’s personal business interests. On February 22, 2007, defense attorneys obtained information that Judge Fuller held a controlling 43.75% interest in government contractor Doss Aviation, Inc. After investigating these claims for over a month, the attorneys filed a motion for Fuller’s recusal on April 18, 2007. The motion stated that Fuller’s total stake in Doss Aviation was worth between $1-5 million, and that Fuller’s income from his stock for 2004 was between $100,001 and $1 million dollars.

In other words, Judge Fuller likely made more from his business income, derived from U.S. Government contracts, than as a judge. Fuller is shown on one filing as President of the principal business, Doss Aviation, and his address is shown as One Church Street, Montgomery, Alabama, the address of the Frank M. Johnson Federal Courthouse, in which his chambers are located.

SNIP...

Doss Aviation and its subsidiaries also held contracts with the FBI. This is problematic when one considers that FBI agents were present at Siegelman’s trial, and that Fuller took the extraordinary step of inviting them to sit at counsel’s table throughout trial. Moreover, while the case was pending, Doss Aviation received a $178 million contract from the federal government.

There's a special place for Judge Fuller, and it's not on the bench.

Apparently the Obama and Holder DOJ has been fighting his appeals and prosecuting him for years in order to keep Don Siegelman in federal prison. Why do they continue to support Bush and Rove's grand conspiracy?

Is there any chance President Obama will pardon Siegelman at some point?

That Don Siegelman is still in jail is especially infuriating
since the very FIRST THING on Eric Holder's "To Do" list after getting his appointment to AG
as to get corrupt Republican Alaska Senator Ted Stevens out of jail and his record cleaned up.

Judge Fuller and Mr. O'Keefe (EADS CEO who was on the plane with Senator Stevens) - both benefited from OIL contracts with the United States Government. Senator McCain made a deal with Rothschild's to get Airbus a domestic U.S. partner for the annual military $35 billion OIL contracts to supply our military.

It is amazing how the Public Integrity Section prosecutor purportedly committed suicide;
and that - even after getting released - Senator Ted Stevens is with U.S. NO MORE!
