Has the Governor of Missouri decided who is charge yet?

This is a serious question.

Jay Nixon ran away from a question on the chain of command for law enforcement in Ferguson last week.

If the St. Louis County yahoos (of MRAPs/Bearcats with snipers on the roof fame) and other surrounding departments who showed up in Ferguson, are left unsupervised, I foresee a harsher response than when the MO State Police were in the lead.

The local police do not answer to him.
The state police do.

The local prosecutor does not answer to him, and he can no replace the local prosecutor with a special prosecutor. The local prosecutor has to recuse himself.
