it down to the little details.
There are so many deaths these days I can't keep them all straight. Thanks.

(16,286 posts)next to the door of the cop car.
Cop goes to open his car door and the kid is standing so close to the door that the door wont open, cop goes nuts and starts to grab for his gun, kid reaches in to try and stop cop from shooting him, cop shoots him anyway, kid runs away and while 20 feet away with hands in the air, surrendering, with two bullets in him and falling forward from his injuries, scared shitless white cop puts two more bullets into his head, kills him.
Then they leave the body in the street for 5 hours to show the Black residents what happens when you jaywalk and then smart off about it.
You get executed.
That is what happened, based on ALL the witnesses that have come forward INCLUDING two out of town contractors who you can SEE reacting to the shooting, one of them puts his hands in the air so as to mimic what the kid being executed was obviously doing.

(15,429 posts)That pretty much nails what happened.
Cops are allowed to murder black people with impunity.

(3,194 posts)A White Cop shot and killed an unarmed Black Teen, who supposedly stole about $40 worth of cigars from a local mini-mart.
We have been waiting several months for the Grand Jury to issue it's ruling, exonerating the cop who did the killing. That is happening in a couple of hours.

I asked for the DU perspective. Someone else was nice enough to share theirs with me.

Prosecutor has and established reputation of not prosecuting cops, even when they have been caught breaking the law.

(771 posts)There is a video of the robbery. Also, in addition to witnesses saying he was on the ground, with his back turned to cop, with his hands in the air, surrendering, and was shot from behind - additional witnesses place him in the car struggling for the cops gun.
One side says he was a racist white cop out to kill black people, other side says he was protecting his own life.
The middle doesn't seem to exist. Though I think it is most people it's just the two far sides make all the noise thus get all the press.
If he did execute a murder only because the victim was black and is not prosecuted, you can easily understand why people are enraged.
If he isn't prosecuted because the local police and all the feds investigating find the victim was in the car grabbing for the cops gun, it probably isn't going to matter to a lot of people who want him taken down despite evidence of innocence.
I know Eric Holder and the feds were given 100% access to all evidence, or so Mr. Holder says. If they try to hide or alter it, confident Holder has the experience to call them on it.

(10,951 posts)I can't remember where I saw it because it was so long ago. He was allowed to leave the scene in his patrol car which would have caused a break in the chain of evidence for anything later alleged to have been found in/or the car.
