Walmart Employees Place huge Food Donation Bins at Doorstep of Alice Walton's $25 Million Condo

In response to the demoralizing food donation bins placed in some stores to help out its underpaid employees, Walmart workers have chained a massive donation bin in front of the luxury Manhattan apartment of heiress Alice Walton, daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton.

Last year, a Walmart store in Canton, Ohio placed donation bins inside an employee break room, which read: “Please donate food items here so Associates in need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.” Employees snapped photos of the bins and shared them on social media to the outrage of many on the Internet.

Despite the outcry, a store in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma recently placed similar donation bins there and workers in Indiana are reporting that managers are organizing bake sales and encouraging workers to support their colleagues with food donations, causing a flare-up on the Internet.

The bin that was chained in front of Walton’s $25 million Park Avenue condo reads: “Walmart Owner Alice Walton: We don’t want charity. We want decent pay. Love, Walmart Workers.”

Just two blocks from the Plaza ($945/night), the Pierre ($950/night), and the Sherry Netherland ($949/night) hotels and Central Park.

The best I've ever stayed at was the Regency, one block north, a long time ago!

Lucky her.

I wonder how many other condos and homes she owns.

Like the entire street has a park down the center, originally it was a ditch with train tracks coming into Grand Central.

Later they covered them up and boom, Park Avenue!

Now the workers are going to have to get rid of it. I would be ok with this if she had to get rid of it. She probably won't even notice it even if she does live there. Her limo is probably far enough away to shield her from such things or worse she sees it and spits in it. It is funny though and hope it works somehow. I know I am being cynacle.

You need to understand, this is a viral marketing strategy by the employees. It doesn't matter if she is or is not there...the world will know that it was chained to the extremely wealthy dwellings of one of the owners. The message gets out and that is far more important then her knowing about it or not...and you can be assured she knows about it by now.

How about chaining up a few bins to the home of ever member of the Board of Directors, the CEO, and every person listed on the annual and quarterly financial reports. It would certainly get their attention. But soften their hearts -- meh maybe not so much.
