Based on the subject line, the parents killed the child by buying him a toy gun?

It's silly to buy a toy gun when you can buy a real gun from Walmart, so they should have bought him a real gun?

Nobody told the cop it was a fake gun, and that matters because cops cannot figure that out for themselves?
