Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIs it possible that Darren Wilson's "injuries" were self-inflicted?
Was there any grand jury evidence of someone seeing him being hit by Michael Brown?
I believe we are looking at a "George Zimmerman" with a badge, who was having a bad day, and decided to take it out on 2 young black men. That is just my opinion.
I believe that he backed up his car to confront the two young men who were walking in the middle of the street and that he tried to pull Brown over toward his car and Brown did not comply as he wanted and angry words were exchanged between the two.
I believe Darren Wilson then wounded Brown while he was still in his vehicle and the two suspects then started running. Then Wilson got out and emptied his chamber into Mike Brown's body.
This is more or less what Mike Brown's friend testified before the grand jury. I believe his story over that of the policeman, Darren Wilson.
I think there was a great injustice done here by rewarding this policeman with not even an indictment. There should have been a trial by jury.

(10,559 posts)at the same time as the fake "Josie" story. There was no evidence of any injuries, and people were taking video at the scene during the four hours where Michael's body was left lying in the street, while Wilson walked around.
The "photos of injury" (slightly red cheeks) were taken by a colleague at the Fraternal Order of Police and were not actually "evidence" of anything.
The assumption by the rest of the police force from the start was that it was a "good shoot" and therefore they did not treat it like a real criminal investigation.
I have recently pointed out the connection between the "fake Josie page" purporting to be a friend of the significant other, who has ties to the KKK. Not sure why that isn't being discussed in mainstream media.

(14,177 posts)If Michael Brown had really hit him there would have been a lot of damage. But, it's very difficult to hit yourself very hard. Or he could have had a friend do it, which its also very difficult to inflict real damage on a friend.

(27,461 posts)as far as i know (someone please correct me if they know different), Wilson is the only one who says Brown punched him.
But even if Brown didn't punch him, the injuries could have come from the struggle.

(53,726 posts)How in the hell would Brown strike him on the cheek facing away from the car window? Did Brown have Stretch Armstrong arms to reach around and punch him on the other side of his face?
Something's smells about that big time.

(52,109 posts)if they were self-inflicted, or if he had a friend do it, i would expect the results to be rather more convincing.

(21,925 posts)isn't much of a physical injury. I would love to read the hospital's medical records in the words of the admitting doctor. It might make for a hilarious description, in light of Wilson's statement about the altercation having put him in fear for his life.

(62,325 posts)which it did. He got out and chased someone who he had already shot, and who was running away from him.
I hope he keeps talking though, because in his George Steph. interview, he claimed that Michael Brown turned around when he was about 110 feet away from him, and he was afraid he was going to attack him. Stephanopoulous asked him, 'why didn't you just go to the car?'
That is what any logical person, who actually feared for their life, would do, he had plenty of time to do that.
But instead he asked himself if 'I could legally shoot this guy' and his self said 'sure', so instead of getting out of 'harm's way', as he could have done, he decided to shoot the already wounded Brown until he killed him.
He was right about one thing though, 'can I legally shoot this guy'?? Apparently yes, sadly.

(2,638 posts)to give his report, he and a fellow officer went to the hospital; even though with no visible wounds he should have given his report first according to their own protocols. Anything could have happened along the way. Given the self serving script of lies that has followed, I assume that would be part of it.

(21,925 posts)examination. And his statement following the officer-involved shooting wasn't recorded at all because the investigating officer didn't have a tape recorder and was too busy to write anything down. I just saw that fiasco described on CNN. No distance measurements were taken by Ferguson PD at the crime scene and no photographs were taken by the Ferguson PD photographer because he didn't have a battery for his camera.

(35,015 posts)There was some sort of struggle yes. But if Brown had punched him as Wilson said, to the point where he was afraid the third punch would have been fatal, there would have been bruising and swelling.
