Sitting in front of Union Station swarmed by sheriffs

Noticed helicopters circling then with in a second or two there was 30-40 sheriffs in riot gear standing next to me in front of L.A.'s Union Station.

A protest march numbering around 400-500 then passed by down the middle of Alameda heading south towards downtown.

They were followed by a couple of hundred cop cars from different departments.

Interesting times.

13. KCAL 9 anouncer bemoaning how many 'resources' are being used. Implication is that

protesters should just STFU because nothing should get in the way of the Lakers.

I will NEVER EVER watch KCAL 9 again.

contemplate disrupting their precious fucking basketball games.

They will be holding anyone who can't make bail until Monday at the earliest (b/c of Thanksgiving holiday).

16. They conveniently did this on Thanksgiving Eve so that no concerned Angelenos

can contact their City councilpeople or County supervisors until Monday to register their dissent at this massive mis-use of tax dollars to suppress free speech.

I am going to be calling Bonin's office non-stop starting Monday morning at 9 a.m. Also my county supervisor's office.

People are angry and I doubt these protests are going to stop over the weekend.

They SHOULD be there right now, this country is in a serious crisis.

Too bad about Thanksgiving.

Otoh, I don't have much faith in any of them at this point.

County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas is a bit of an unknown quantity for me, as I've never before had to contact his office that I can remember.
