I hope it will be up on line later, geez did those prosecutors foul up. For the record, Missouri Grand Jurors, The Supreme Court trumps outdated Missouri laws.

(693 posts)I'm sorry I don't watch news on TV often enough to know where to look, and I've really been wanting to hear from or about the two assistants who were actually in the deliberations since McCulloch wasn't except for an opening statement.

This is supposed to be another 'nothing here move along' moment that people are so accustomed to when dealing with the police in that area. IMO.
The problem is that people all around the world can see what is going on. Cops cannot just hide systematic brutality anymore - unless evidently you work on the force for the county and the areas around it. No wonder they don't having working cameras.
The grand jury heard evidence in favor of officer Wilson. Must be nice to have the DA defend you against the victim.

Hard to believe that even Missouri prosecutors could be that stupid.

(15,438 posts)pushing FDR (who was opposed to men drawing social services) for Social Security to details being overlooked by M$M in the Michael Brown GJ case, exposing the incompetence of Missouri prosecutors, not in how they conducted the prosecution of Michael Brown instead of his murderer, but in the fact they didn't hide their biases and motives very well as they became Officer Wilson's defense attorneys.

(50,290 posts)The ADA assigned to the Grand Jury case gave the jurors a statute that had been ruled unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court in 1985, she gave this to the jurors BEFORE wilson testified. This unconstitutional statute allowed police officers to shoot suspects if they were fleeing.
She did NOT correct her 'mistake' until the jury were nearing deliberation and did not explain what the change was at all. She did say, some of the original statute was still good and left it at that. When a juror asked if the US Supreme Court overruled Missouri statutes and the answer given was "Don't worry about that now".
Oh, and the unconstitutional statute she gave them had not been in use since BEFORE she became a prosecuting attorney.
There is NO WAY IN HELL this wasn't done deliberately, NO WAY.

(50,290 posts)what Lawrence O'Donnell was revealing was searing, it stayed with me. I was completely horrified as made clear what the effect on the jury this horrendous behavior would have.

(15,438 posts)They've taken their ever-loving time - three freaking months! - for this GJ "investigation". Now they need to file a lawsuit against Officer Wilson and Prosecutor McCulloch and his staff. These people are trying to get away with murder.

I do not have time to watch cable and don't want to subscribe because when you subscribe to cable, you have to take Fox and because it is too expensive to have both cable and internet. We have chosen internet.
