So, what are you thankful for?

Me, I am for my family and friends and even my neighbors and thankful that I'm still breathing for another year.

I'm thankful that I express myself through words and music and that I can share my expressessions.

I'm thankful for what little possessions I have, because I know that they can be lost at any time.

I'm thankful that I can be thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

I'm thankful that I have been here and now for this brief moment, that I have been allowed to stand on the shoulders of giants in order to reach some faint glimmering of understanding of the strange and marvelous universe that we inhabit.

I'm thankful that I have enough good food to eat and clean water to drink, a warm and dry place to sleep when it's cold and wet outside.

I'm thankful that I have a dog who adores me and is in fact keeping my lap warm even as I type this.

I'm thankful for the good people of DU and other sites I go to who keep me challenged, informed and entertained.

Godspeed y'all.

We truly have much for which to be thankful.

I give thanks for that every night.

I'm thankful for friends. I'm thankful for horses and dogs and whales and nature.

I'm thankful for music, movies, art and humor. They brighten up life.

I'm thankful that I have talents that can help others. I'm thankful that I have a sense of humor.

I'm thankful for everyone at DU.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful I can finally call my partner of almost 13 years my HUSBAND (whom I am greatly thankful for!).

I am thankful for my family, including those who are not blood related.

I am thankful for my pets...including the ones I have lost, despite my sorrow.

I am thankful for being able to afford healthcare, despite the damn doctors not knowing why I am sick.

I am thankful I get to be me.

I am thankful for friends I have met here and for ones I have yet to meet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

And, oddly enough, thankful that cell phone companies decided they can still make money by offering cheap phone service in Africa!

(never before have I been thankful for something so corporate! But this year I am very grateful for that!)

TWO posts on the Greatest Page at the same time!!!

I also got my second non-meta hide for flat out calling someone a liar instead of the more politically correct "mistaken", but I am even thankful for that: I needed the reminder that recognizing "on purpose playing dumb" can be a successful strategy when attempting to justify criminal acts, and will now look for it going forward, so an educational moment for the win.

ON EDIT: Make that THREE! Wow! DU!

And for the Kubota tractor with the bucket loader that has already begun cleaning my driveway. I'm thankful the transformer across the road that burned completely during the snow storm (and I mean completely . . . it's gone) didn't torch the house. Finally, I'm thankful I don't have a house filled with relatives expecting a nice dinner. We're having a Cajun Thanksgiving . . . gumbo for all!

Surviving cancer
Being able to retire in three weeks (but asked to work one day a week for awhile.... no more 12hr shifts on my feet)
Knowing that next year there will be no holiday work schedule for either of us..... husband retiring next summer!

Family, friends and like-minded people on the internet who keep working toward democratic values....

And yoga, I am stronger and a little more positive because of it.

DemocraticUnderground.com, the computer that connects me to it, and all the beautiful minds that hang out here.

My family, my pets, the roof over my head and that I woke up this morning to celebrate one more Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, MrScorpio, to all DU members and all DU non-members who lurk here every day as I did for 10 years before finally signing up 2 years ago.
