who have their panties in such a big wad over the (completely unfounded) fear that Christmas will disappear because of evil liberals and stores whose employees say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Christmas":
Is your faith in your God and Jesus so feeble that you must compel the entire country, including retail stores, to celebrate Christmas in order to bolster your own beliefs? If your nightmare came true and no public celebration of Christmas were allowed, would you still believe? Or, lacking the affirmations of everybody else, would you just give up? Is your Jesus just a kind of Tinker Bell who will fade away and die if not enough children clap for him? What kind of weak-ass religion is it that requires everybody to acknowledge one of its major holidays whether or not they actually celebrate it? If you really, sincerely believe Jesus is the son of God and he was given to the world to redeem its sins, you wouldn't give a crap if some minimum-wage store clerk at the mall defiantly said "Merry Christmas" to some beleaguered shopper wearing a yarmulke. Isn't it enough that your sins are forgiven and you'll go to heaven and cavort with the angels for eternity? Why do you need every goddamn (if you'll excuse the expression) public place to be full of manger scenes and Santa Clauses and "The Little Drummer Boy"?
