Tampa may seek Gov. Rick Scott's help keeping guns away from RNC protests

Our GOP and NRA "ram-rodded" laws suck so much, we must ask for help to save ourselves from ourselves...or something like that. What are the GOP convention goers going to do? Shoot the cook because the caviar is not Beluga? Kill the Piano Player? Impress a hooker with the size of their barrell?

Come' on...a bunch of old, angry, armed, shit-faced Tea Baggers at a convention to nominate Mitt Romney???? What could possibly go wrong?

TAMPA — Frustrated by a Florida law that blocks all local regulation of guns, Mayor Bob Buckhorn expects to reach out to Gov. Rick Scott for help keeping concealed firearms away from protests during the Republican National Convention.

The 2011 state law pre-empts the ability of cities and counties to pass any laws regulating firearms or ammunition.

So while Tampa plans to ban a wide range of weapons (clubs, switchblades, Mace) and things that could be used as weapons (chains, glass bottles, water pistols) outside the convention, it cannot prohibit guns carried with a concealed weapons permit.

if there was intelligent life in America you wouldn't be able to find two Republicans to rub together in a public restroom.

I am a 68 year old, five foot tall woman and I have never felt the need to be armed in my life. Are they all a bunch of cowards that are afraid of the dark or what?

They see the "Ole Western" as the Utopian America.

Look at how they've defended Zimmerman, which to them, is just an example of the old "he needed killin'" defense.
