PHOENIX (AP) — The deadly shooting of a black, unarmed drug suspect by a white Phoenix police officer who mistook a pill bottle for a gun demonstrates the challenges law enforcement agencies face at a time of unrest over police tactics.

Phoenix police say the officer feared the suspect was armed during their struggle, but some critics say the officer went too far. Despite the department’s efforts to be transparent with information, protesters marched Thursday night against the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Rumain Brisbon.

About 150 took part in the march through the streets of downtown Phoenix to police headquarters, while also calling for an end to what they say is a nationwide epidemic of police brutality.

Too mad to settle down and let it flow. Might need to get baked or fried to get it done. LOL!!
All i can do is use internet memes to make points.
I wanted to do a take on america the beautiful. I feel the strands of it floating around; it's just hards to weave them together.

I wrote one that made me feel better for a day this summer.

Here, I never finished it all the way.

If I had white privilege, I would know that it was there
It would be so obvious, I could see it everywhere
I would have never been stopped, while walking up my street
And had my person searched, from my head down to my feet

No one would ever say, you speak well, for your kind
Or told me that my possessions, could not possibly be mine
I would never have been told, to go back to from where I came
And even if it happened, it just wouldn’t feel the same

If I had white privilege I would use it all the time
How could I but help it, the Privilege would be fine
If I shared my privilege with other folks I know
Then I could make easier, the burdens that they tow

One day I'll finish and post it on a white privilege battle thread.

cops often mistake objects for guns: from id's to cell phones.

This doesn't seem like this shit is going to ever stop. Police brutality against unarmed (black) people is becoming business as usual.

something "looked like a gun" or "they reached in their waistband".

These idiot cops know there is no downside to shooting first and making up ANY excise later. They will never be charged.
