9. Hatred is poison.

Hatred is like swallowing poison and expecting someone else to die. In Buddhism, hatred is one of the 3 great poisons that keeps us trapped in endless suffering--the other 2 poisons being greed and and ignorance. The antidote to hatred is love of course. We can take little steps out of hatred by simply wishing for others to be happy, have good health, a peaceful home, rewarding work, and good fortune, etc. And best of all is to wish that others can encounter an authentic teacher to lead them out of hatred, greed, and ignorance.

So my fellow DUers, stop hating the ignorant Tparty crowd. Wish for them to meet an authentic teacher.
