Former Vice President Dick Cheney Says CIA Torture Report Is 'Full of Crap' - ABC NewsFormer Vice President Dick Cheney says a declassified Senate report on the controversial post-9/11 CIA interrogation program is "full of crap." ...
He insisted the so-called enhanced interrogation techniques were all legally justified and inconsistent with "torture," though he conceded that the practice of "rectal rehydration" mentioned in the report, "was not one of the authorized or approved techniques."
Cheney said he also rejects the allegation that his boss, President George W. Bush, was kept in the dark. He was in fact an integral part of the program. He had to approve it before we moved forward with it, Cheney said. He knew everything he needed to know and wanted to know about the program." ...
Let's see ... five deferments to dodge military service. Richard Bruce Cheney is a coward, yet thinks himself so morally superior to the rest of us that he can decide if going to war based on lies is acceptable and can decide that torture is just fine for the nation once portrayed as a "shining city on a hill."
And isn't it odd how these neocon, Tea Party types are constantly trying to scare us about too big tyrannical government, but are always in a great rush to defend the most dangerous elements of tyranny: police power and government power to incarcerate and torture people.

(6,960 posts)It shows you the baseness of Cheney's character: he just dragged Bush further under the bus with him.
