Wisconsin is the home of the myth of a Caractor wondering the Great White Pine Forests of the northern part of the state. Read your Badger History and have a great laugh. Uncle Louie and his bud made snowshoes shaped like a foot just to spoof the guys in the Timber Camps back in the late 1890's. Btw,their camp was near Minong and the rest is a tale. Just a bit of Norwegian and Swede fun.
