White House Denied Aid to Woodward County? *WHY*

http://www.koco.com/r/30931797/detail.html

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The White House denied Gov. Mary Fallin’s request for assistance to aid individuals and businesses in Woodward County that were hard hit by last weekend’s deadly tornado.

Fallin said she is disappointed in the decision but that the state is continuing to work to bring assistance to those impacted by the storm. She announced late Friday that the state will now request a disaster declaration for Woodward County through the U.S. Small

So if they don't want any of Obama's "socialism" then they should be allowed to do without it.

After all, they could move from the stinkhole they live in to a bluer county like (sound of fingers snapping) that.

Your kind of partisanship, the kind that's totally devoid of empathy, is what sucks about this country today.

Maybe they had their lives destroyed by the God of Karma for not voting the right way, eh? Yeah... I bet that's it.

So fuck 'em.

This may be political, but I suspect it's the state doing it.

Or they may not be following the regulations. Like TX refusing to cover all services at PP, so they said the way it was written, take it all to get the Medicaid, or not.

Perry is such a zealot, that he refused the money for the other 97%, non-abortion funding for PP just to spite them as part of the big lie about PP. The one that says taxpayers are paying for abortion, when that money comes from private donors. The tax money is for the rest of the services.

When Obama visited OK recently, the Governor was too busy to see him, supposedly. Since the state is pretty hostile to anything Democratic in the state house, I'd suspect the problem lies there.

Possibly another stunt like the one that Perry pulled. A number of southern governors have refused aid of one kind or another, unless it makes that look good and makes Obama look bad. That's the way they play the game now.

IMHO. n/t

Eligibility for Federal disaster assistance should be uniformly determined by established policy. But according to this article's reader comments, there's quite a bit of hypocrisy afoot in Oklahoma.

the same thing happened after the earthquake here in Va.

Why? because Cantor demanded it. His bill wasn't passed but FEMA has stopped handing out aid pretty much in order that Cantor wanted.
