Word Games

Person 1: Obama Said Torture is PATRIOTIC!

Person 2: Um, no he didn't. Where do you get that?

Person 1: Here read it yourself: Obama stated: "We tortured some folks." *snip* "I think it's" *snip* "important not to feel" *snip* "sanctimonious" *snip* "our national security teams" *snip* "tortured some folks" *snip* "and" *snip* "are real patriots."

Person 2: That's a pretty heavily edited and out-of-context quote, don't you think?

Person 1: NO! That's what he said! Why are you defending TORTURED?!?!!!!11!

Person 2: Um, I'm not defending torture.

Person 1: YEAH YOU ARE AND YOU CAN'T READ NEITHER!

Person 2: wtf?!

Obama's soft peddling the issue by making excuses for "patriots under duress" is not the same as "Torture is patriotic". That's your word game.

the error of your ways. Said explanation will doubtless contain words and phrases such as "worshipper", "apologist", "blind follower", and other assorted bits of wisdom. Be forewarned.
