Hey look ev'rybody, It's Jebbie Time

That's right, ol Jeb's a runnin.

The family tree that traded with Hitler and helped him build his genocidal war machine, probably killed JFK, ran the CIA's dirty tricks division for Nixon, masterminded the Iran Hostage deal that surprised Carter and swiped the election for Reagan, slept on the job while the 9/11 attacks were planned and carried out, started at least two illegal wars, and initiated torture that only recently the depths of which are coming to light... is producing another rotten fruit that seeks the White House.

Before you tell me that the latest spawn of that lineage poisoned the name to the American public, remember that he was re-elected.

The idiots on the right always turn out to vote and they'd see this as an opportunity to 'take their country back' (ie, a white guy running for office). He also has deep business connections that cannot be rivaled, even by Hillary's corporate ties.

Bush recently e-mailed major Republican donors asking them to, as several of them put it, “keep your powder dry.” His allies are urging would-be bundlers not to commit to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie or other potential rivals. Bush’s top strategist, Mike Murphy, has also been telling potential campaign staffers not to sign up to work for another candidate and to expect Bush’s announcement soon.

What Voters Don’t Know (Yet) About Jeb Bush
12/4/14

.....If Bush runs, extremism and corruption in the Sunshine State during his tenure will provide ample fodder for investigative reporters and primary opponents, as will many episodes in his long business career.

Five months after he left the governor’s mansion in 2007, he joined Lehman Brothers as a “consultant.” No doubt he was well-compensated, as reporters may learn if and when he releases his tax returns someday. The following year, Lehman infamously went bust—and left the state of Florida holding about $1 billion worth of bad mortgage investments. (A Bush spokeswoman said, “His role as a consultant to Lehman Brothers was in no way related to any Florida investments.”)

There are many equally fascinating chapters in the Jeb dossier, rooted in his declaration three decades ago that he intended to become “very wealthy” as a developer and, yes, a “consultant.” His partners back then included a certain Miguel Recarey, whose International Medical Centers allegedly perpetrated one of history’s biggest Medicare frauds. (Connection to Medicare fraud seems to be a prerequisite to becoming governor of Florida, at least among Republicans; see Rick Scott and the Columbia/HCA Healthcare scam.) Indicted by the feds, Recarey fled the country—but not before Jeb placed a call on his behalf to his presidential dad’s health and human services secretary, Margaret Heckler. For serving as the flunky of a crook, he received a generous tip of $75,000 from Recarey, a mob associate.

He performed a similar service, with more success, on behalf of the Cuban militant Orlando Bosch, for whom he sought a presidential pardon from his father. The boastful murderer of dozens of innocent people—and a prosecution target of the U.S. Justice Department—Bosch deserved a pardon about as much as the worst jihadi in Gitmo. But his sponsors were the same Cuban-Americans in Miami who had fostered Jeb’s real estate business there, so he ignored the Republican attorney general’s denunciation of Bosch as an “unreformed terrorist.”

If Jeb runs for president, it will be fascinating to see whether the mainstream press, which vetted his brother George W. so inadequately during the 2000 presidential race, performs any better this time....

The GOP will have some Cruz or other crazies running and Jeb will step in as the voice of moderation in the GOP and snag the nomination.
And it the Dem party Hillary is inevitable so she has already won...
So it will be Bush v Clinton...we get to chose from one dynasty or the other, and Wall Street has a winner no matter what.
And no one has to worry about voter disgust because low turnout means nothing but easy pickings.
Then Jeb wins...then we blame it on progressives low turnout...the plan is perfect.

are. There's Bill, and then Hillary in elected politics. Then there's Prescott, then GHWB, Dubya, Jebbie, and at least one son of the next generation, ( I think; I'm losing track). The Kennedys were a dynasty, but the Clintons? Come on!

But you need to be careful. It's like giving away the plot of a movie. To make this whole thing work people need to believe they have choice.

If people understand that freedom of choice is an illusion they might start questioning what freedom is. Now we can’t have them doing that.

The Bushes and Clintons are thick as thieves. GHW and Babs consider Bill to be their other son. If it's Bush v. Clinton, which is highly likely, the outcome won't make a difference. We'll definitely be in another major conflict and we'll spend trillions on weapons and cut spending on the needy. It's impossible to change our system unless there are viable alternatives to the status quo in the elections. 2016 would be a great year for a strong indy candidate if he or she could stay alive to finish the campaign.

I don't think he realizes how visceral the right's hatred is of undocumented citizens in the US and how deeply his former calls for a path to citizenship, as well as his marriage to a Mexican national, will affect the base. The right held their noses and voted for Romney because they thought he would be the most 'electable,' and they hated Obama enough to vote electability over ideology. They've probably learned their lesson. And Columba Bush won't garner much support among Hispanics. Republicans always throw these ersatz Hispanics at us who are so altivos that they only create the kind of backlash Palin did when McCain figured she'd appeal to the female electorate just because she was a female.

10. He's knotted himself into a pretzel trying to appeal to everyone on immigration.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/thenextamerica/politics/jeb-bush-supports-path-to-citizenship-for-illegal-immigrants-20120611
June 11, 2012 Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he supports both a path to citizenship or legal residency for the more than 11 million people living in the United States illegally.

“You have to deal with this issue. You can’t ignore it, and so either a path to citizenship, which I would support--and that does put me probably out of the mainstream of most conservatives--or ... a path... to residency of some kind,” he said during an interview last week with Charlie Rose on CBS.

He implores Romney to select Rubio as his VP candidate in the linked article as well, so Jebby's veep candidate selection will be interesting. (sound of gulping water/off)

Then he flip flopped on immigration.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/04/jeb-bush-book_n_2806602.html
In a new book, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) makes a notable reversal on immigration reform, arguing that creating a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants would only encourage future unauthorized immigration.

"It is absolutely vital to the integrity of our immigration system that actions have consequences -- in this case, that those who violated the law can remain but cannot obtain the cherished fruits of citizenship," Bush and lawyer Clint Bolick argue in a new book, Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution. "To do otherwise would signal once again that people who circumvent the system can still obtain the full benefits of American citizenship."

The pugs are really going to have to hold their noses to vote for him over his stance on common core as well.
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/11/jeb-bush-troops-education-reform-113060.html
He once again defended the Common Core, which has become a rallying cry for conservatives who see the standards as federal overreach into state education, and could prove a liability if he runs for president. And he touched on the increasingly controversial topic of testing, as school boards and districts across the country revolt against federally mandated exams.

Jeb is a corporatist, so the money will flow, the media will shill and spin to ensure the pugs will forgive and forget. The result will be a further cementing of our standing as consumers and labor units, rather than citizens. Viva la Corporatocracy!

11. W NEVER WON THE POPULAR VOTE!!
Sat Dec 13, 2014, 12:22 PM
Dec 2014

either in 2000 or 2004!

OH was stolen outright; never forget this fact. OH 04 WAS STOLEN.

and of course we know what happened in 2000, the anniversary of which is TODAY!!

yup. 13 years ago today, the rehnquist court selected W as our 43rd prez.

to my mind, this was a far far worse day in our nation's history than 9/11.

had 12/12/00 not happened as it did, 9/11 might never have happened as it did.

never forget this.

(and just to nudge your memory, al gore spent this week in lima, peru, at the climate change conference.)

(another aside: also consider the fact that, therefore, no republican has actually won the presidency outright since poppy in 88. think about that; when the next election is held in 16, the GOP will have gone over 25 years without winning the WH. no wonder they are so desperate.)

15. Jeb Crow Shrub will trounce both Mittens and Hillary
Sat Dec 13, 2014, 02:41 PM
Dec 2014

Jeb Crow will EASILY drop Mittens in the dust. Shrub W’s fingerprint is that he is the Revenger on all the family’s enemies – big and little, everybody from Saddam down to Dan RATHER and everybody in between. But Shrub has also gotten revenge on his own family who wronged him, Poppy and Jeb Crow, Poppy for judging him as a wastrel and Jeb Crow for being the favorite/”smart one” (Abel taking Cain’s rightful primogeniture). So if Jeb Crow can’t run because of his own crooked money dealings PLUS because of Shrub’s trashing the family brand name (further), it will be Shrub’s ultimate revenge, despite his protestations of loving Poppy and Bro so much. It’s hilarious how Jeb Crow here labels his crooked dealings as “proud of the free enterprise system,” like when Poppy lashed out at reporters asking about his kids’ dirty business, “My boys have a RIGHT TO MAKE A LIVING!!!!!!!”
