Sometimes he did some good things - his judicial appointments, for example - but he spent an awful lot of time advertising himself and doing weird shit and letting his ne'er-do-well kid have wild parties in the governor's residence. On the specific point in the OP I agree with him 100%, but he really wasn't a good governor. He should have stuck to the talk show circuit.

(6,828 posts)Sorry to hear his performance as Governor was mixed. His current pod casts or what ever it is I get links from his Facebook page from, are worthwhile.
He's in line with a lot of progressive liberal points of view. He rails over and over about our corrupt authoritarian government and I think is an important voice in our national discourse. He speaks as a Chris Hedges you'd like to have a beer with or go to a tailgate party with.
