I stalked/found a white dude

My wife called me at work a few months back. She was playing with our girl in the backyard and she said some guy was peeking through the cracks in the fence taking pictures and he was doing it to our next door neighbor too. She was all freaked out.

I only work a few miles away so I jumped on my Yamaha and went down a few blocks from my side street (on corner) and turned in the alleyway heading back towards my house on my bike. Crept kind of slow checking out around each fence, covered patio, etc., looking for random white dude in a blue shirt.

I found him probably 20 or so houses down from mine, on the driveway side of fence peeking through with some big camcorder looking thing and some binoculars. I stopped the bike, let the revs die down so he could hear me and asked him why he was peeking through fences, why he was taking pictures of my daughter.

He replied, I'm checking the electric meters and flashed his Oncor badge..

I was like, oh, cool dude...went home to tell wife

You're lucky he didn't get angry at you questioning him and attack you while going back to your bike. Culminating in getting your head bashed against the sidewalk. You might have had to defend yourself.

When she called she was all freaking out, "should I call 911"

Our daughter just had turned two and was in the little kiddy pool (naked) playing. Since I am so close I was like, no, don't call 911, I'll go look around the area and see what's going on. (She tends to overreact some times so I wasn't real sure if there was a peeping tom/threat or not.) I sure wasn't looking for a green, yellow, black or purple dude. Of course if I had seen Barney in the alleyway I probably would have questioned his ass. He's kind of creepy

When I found the guy he was pretty lackadaisical to be honest....

I would probably say...how do I know that's not fake...you're not wearing a uniform, where's your van or truck or car...can you call your supervisor...fingerprints please.

In the end...you'd need to provide me with far more information in order for you to even get my first name.

But on DU...badges aren't necessary unless you want to end up dead like Trayvon...because obviously like Trayvon you were asking for a "tangle".
