LOL: 'The Interview' cut short by power failure at one N.J. theater, report says

A power outage at Allwood Cinemas 6 in Clifton ruined the ending for an audience at a Christmas Day showing, according to NorthJersey.com. The power went out just before the scene in which North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is killed.

Some moviegoers quickly left the theater, but others remained, unsure what to do, according to the report. Eventually, the staff told the audience there was a power outage and they could use their ticket stubs at later showings.

Sony had previously canceled the film's wide release after both the company and movie theaters were threatened by anonymous hackers. Select theaters across the country, including a half-dozen in New Jersey, decided to show the film, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.

Eager viewers lined up early at some theaters, saying they didn't want to give into the hackers, regardless of whether the movie is good.
