Even John Mitchell, who went to prison, was better at prosecuting actual crime than this worthless sack of crap.

(11,119 posts)No other Atty General has been as successful as he at going after WEALTHY tax cheats. He, along with the State Department I assume has set the standard for twisting the arms of those closed-mouthed Swiss bankers.......getting these bankers to spill the beans on their tax cheating US clients. No press.
No other Atty General has been as successful at rolling up a couple of drug smuggling operations that involved so many dirty law enforcement agents that ratted out the king pins that they were able to get to the big people that run the operations and not just the losers that sell the drugs on street corners. No press.
Those are just two of the little-known, little-touted successes of Atty General Eric Holder....

(1,362 posts)Gonzales conspired to commit war via WMD lies and illegally hired numerous govt workers. Ashcroft repeatedly issued false terror alerts that terrorized the American people.
Eric Holder is the one not prosecuting them.

I am not sure what Holder's problem is but his continued harassment of medical marijuana makes him a useless tool of LE interests.

(60,010 posts)That story broke in Jan. of this year.
Reuters:
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Lanny Breuer, head of the Justice Departments criminal division, were partners for years at a Washington law firm that represented a Whos Who of big banks and other companies at the center of alleged foreclosure fraud, a Reuters inquiry shows.
The firm, Covington & Burling, is one of Washingtons biggest white shoe law firms. Law professors and other federal ethics experts said that federal conflict of interest rules required Holder and Breuer to recuse themselves from any Justice Department decisions relating to law firm clients they personally had done work for.
Snip....
While Holder and Breuer were partners at Covington, the firms clients included the four largest U.S. banks Bank of America, Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo & Co as well as at least one other bank that is among the 10 largest mortgage servicers.

Holder's allegiances and interests can hardly have been a secret to the man who appointed him.

(15,689 posts)and argue for the at-will sexual humiliation of all persons detained in police custody, and green light the assassination of US citizens without charges, evidence or trials, I really have to wonder what was it that Democrats had against Alberto Gonzales? Perhaps it was that Gonzo was pudgy and constantly wore the stupid grin of an amateur crook. I don't see how poised, professional crooks are in any way preferable. They pretend to be better of course, and they may dress better, as the Democrats pretend to be better than Republicans. But that appearance does not make them better.

(82,849 posts)But I'll go with A. Mitchell Palmer under Wilson. I would rate Holder as slightly better than Palmer, but Holder still has some time and the game ain't over yet.
