He did apologize to Steele after a commercial break. I would have gone Sherman on Steele instead of apologize the him. Let that asshole Steele eat crap, he is nothing but a republican mouthpiece. Many of the people that he buttresses would not have him around if they were not forced by the rule of law to let him survive.

He walked it back by saying he was referring to the birthers, and calling for Romney to disavow that whole cult of extremism. And then he said "None of those guys ever do" which got a knowing chuckle out of Steele. A lot was revealed there. The Grand Wizard comment stung, and even when walked back the edge was still there.

6. I was a little surprised that he walked that one back

considering he runs off at the mouth so much and enjoys hearing himself talk. Not that I don't agree with what he said but I think they try to keep some level of professional decorum there among the various regulars as "one big happy family" (i.e., not making it personal).

Otherwise I was thinking that maybe ratings month was coming so they were upping it a notch...

he babbles on and and on so fast that the closed-captioner can't even keep up. I usually watch TV with the CC on to catch things I may have missed if I'm concentrating on something else and they probably had to yell... and then do so multiple times... and then finally put up a cue card off camera to get his attention!

He really is an arrogant SOB but obviously they weren't playing.
