Edmonton horror: nine dead in killings

Story here

In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a total of nine people are dead, in killings which took place at three sites.

From the article:

Police have found nine people dead at three separate locations in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, one by an apparent suicide.

"It is a tragic day for Edmonton and our thoughts go out to the community as we all come to terms with the senseless mass murder of eight people," Edmonton police chief Rod Knecht said at an afternoon news conference.

is that the police were called to the north side house, had a look around, thought everything looked 'fine' and left. They only came back 4 hours later to find the bodies (and no word on what made them return.) Makes you wonder if they could've prevented something, or whether they were already too late.

Yet another domestic violence tragedy. This is big news here (I'm in Edmonton).
