The amazingly swift change in attitudes, not just on marriage equality but in acceptance of gay people in general, is probably the biggest surprise of my adult life. A good surprise.

is that the least amount of movement is in the Mountain states. Can anybody think of a reason besides a substantial Mormon presence in that region? And are Mormons really more resistant to acceptance of equal marriage than fundies in the South?
