She cuts through the crap with a razor-sharp knife. If she runs for POTUS, though, she will need to astutely surround herself with people savvy to the system AND sympathetic to her (read "our&quot positions. This was my greatest worry with Obama, that he was not an insider, and that the insiders would stick together and work against him. He made a number of missteps but has toughed it out, and I see the next four years being super-productive. Elizabeth is a treasure, and I would hate to see one minute wasted with her at the helm.

16. The fringe right loves to claim that tax cuts create jobs

Tax cuts supposedly either free up capital for investment, or create an incentive for it to be used more productively, or both.

The truth is that no public or private company, corporation or individual in the US operates this way any more. Instead of investing their money, they get a far higher return through lobbying. There's no need to invest in anything when you can always come back for another tax cut, contract or bailout.
