Please, enough of the "You'll get a job if you tweak your resume just so" stories!

I understand that a resume has to be properly written. Sending in a misspelled scribble on a paper towel never got anyone a job. But when 200 people are competing for a single job, 199 are not going to get it now matter how well written a resume, how sparkling an interview they have!

Even worse, listening to a story that begins with first person accounts of people turned down for jobs because they were too qualified, followed by the expert explaining that job seekers will have to lower their expectations!
