Scottish Parliament laughs at Donald Trump

Last edited Thu Apr 26, 2012, 10:25 AM - Edit history (1)

snip

So The Donald has spent a fortune on buying land in Scotland to set up a fancy golf course only to find out the Scottish government wants to build an off shore wind farm nearby.

The Donald is not happy! He took his fight to the Scottish Parliament today.

"Scotland, if you pursue this policy of these monstrous turbines, Scotland will go broke," he said. "They are ugly, they are noisy and they are dangerous. If Scotland does this, Scotland will be in serious trouble and will lose tourism to places like Ireland, and they are laughing at us."

Trump told everyone there that wind turbines will harm the environment and ruin the tourism industry. When he was challenged to produce some hard facts to back up his claim, he responded...

"I am the evidence, I am a world class expert in tourism."

His credentials were met with a reaction that Trump is probably not used to in public venues.

The public gallery burst into laughter.

Apparently so are his sons:

It seems Donald Jr. and his brother Eric went to Africa on a hunting trip last year, and their tour company, Hunting Legends, decided recently to brag of the men’s prowess on their Web site, complete with graphic photos of the brothers and their kills. And here’s a shocker – there’s something about rich white men smiling with the carcasses of the African animals they’ve killed that a lot of people just don’t like.
