6-Year-Old Faces Battery Charge In School

SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- A 6-year-old boy was arrested last week on a battery charge after he assaulted a school staff member, Shelbyville police said.

Officers were called to Hendricks Elementary School on April 18 concerning a student who school officials described as out of control, Shelbyville police said Wednesday.

"The student had physically assaulted a staff member by kicking them," Shelbyville police Lt. Michael Turner said in a news release.

Apparently, you Mirandize the juvenile above some unspecified age, and you should always do it, just to be safe.
