30 min compliation of strange sounds worldwide, one occurance during televised ball game in Tampa.

The story from Windsor Ontario is really compelling because it happened over the course of days at which point a City Councillor got involved and created a map of the neighborhoods hearing it. He too heard it and the house he was visiting turned off everything i.e. all utilities and he said one could feel the vibrations coming up through the floor.

Do with the way the land channeled the wind and it was eerie. But then we had tornadoes, lightning that would go horizontal, and a lot of other phenomena. Unusual sunrises and sunsets, wind howling, stuff.

From the comments on the link and the adjoining videos some feel it' different because of their religious belief about the End times and others are expecting UFOs. Others claim the sound is from HAARP being deployed. This kind of stuff has been circulating around for a while on youtube, but there's never anything official. We're just speculating, who knows.

From the end of the video it had what the weather people said and that made sense after what I used to listen to in the southwest.

got around on line. Also news media would have reported stories of people calling 911 to report strange sounds. Furthermore, as mentioned in the OP one occurrence happened during a televised ball game and live tv has been in place for 60 years. How can it be that natural occurrences have never been picked up before on tv or for that matter radio?

those sounds are different things.

Some sound like jet engines in the distance (Tallahassee, Colorado) - sometimes when there is low cloud cover sounds like that will travel and echo in funny ways

Some of the sounds are magnetic resonance - the Canadian ones especially seem this way. E.g. the northern lights.

Some of the sounds are hoaxes (the Hungary one seems fake to me).

The baseball game in Tampa sounds like wind getting in to the domed stadium somehow.

The ones from the UK probably have something to do with the doctor.

It's called the Windsor Hum, and it's been going on in Windsor for a lot longer than days, and everybody knows where it's coming from. The specific source has yet to own up, but it will be identified eventually. Nothing natural or supernatural about it.

The MP who has agitated to get official attention to it is from the NDP. The Conservative government despatched one of its own to get to the heart of the matter.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2012/04/21/windsor-hum-dechert.html

Jim Bradley, Ontario's environment minister, sent letters to municipal, state and federal officials in the United States late last month, asking them to take action on the problem. The ministry has received close to 500 complaints about the noise, Bradley said.

Meanwhile, Dechert, the parliamentary secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, has met with representatives of the Great Lakes Commission, the Council of Great Lakes Industries, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments and the Regional Office of the International Joint Commission to discuss the problem.

... Testing has determined the sound is coming from the general vicinity of Zug Island, an industrial site on the U.S. side of the Detroit River (see map below).

Officials from the city of River Rouge, Mich., where Zug Island is located, have said they don't have the money to find the source of the noise.

Zug Island by night:

And for that wonder, I am eternally grateful.

HERE (recorded deep in the ocean)

They share similarities to some of the sounds in the video and they come from a reputable source.

One of the sounds at the link, the Bloop, is famous for its enigmatic source. Everybody should know about the Bloop.

...it difficult to construct something Earth-sized which could have caused it. By Earth-sized, I mean your biggest animal (AFAIK) is the blue whale. And while that's big, that's still an order of magnitude or two or three or ten (or whatever) smaller than the size of what would have caused a sound that loud and with those characteristics.

I think the closest I can guess is maybe a giant methane belch from frozen-now-thawing methane deeeeep down somewhere. That shit can happen and unless there's someone to witness it, those types of events can go entirely unnoticed, a-la the Bermuda Triangle as methane-saturated water causing ships to loose buoyancy theory.

Nearly got divorced over something like this. His wife insisted their new house was making noises, but he couldn't hear anything (being gone most of the day, while she worked at home). Only in certain parts of the house, standing in certain locations. After a while they finally called in some sort of expert, and sure enough, the angles of the walls combined with some sort of geographic phenomenon was causing the house to emit a constant droning/humming noise. It was driving her crazy, almost literally. Very bizarre!

The Time Traveler perceives this, and suggests that the Eloi–Morlock relationship developed from a class distinction present in his own time: the Morlocks are the working class who had to work underground so that the rich upper class could live in luxury.

21. The flash, in the first instance, is called Piezoelectric Flashes or Earthquake lights
Fri Apr 27, 2012, 09:09 AM
Apr 2012
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquake_light

One explanation involves intense electric fields created piezoelectrically by tectonic movements of rocks containing quartz.[8]

Another possible explanation is local disruption of the Earth's magnetic field and/or ionosphere in the region of tectonic stress, resulting in the observed glow effects either from ionospheric radiative recombination at lower altitudes and greater atmospheric pressure or as aurora. However, the effect is clearly not pronounced or notably observed at all earthquake events and is yet to be directly experimentally verified.[9]

Earthquake lights are the most recent of technological folk-beliefs which have attempted to explain the Will-o'-the-wisp phenomena. A German psychologist, Dr. G. Schweizer, was the first to conclusively demonstrate that strange moving terrestrial and heavenly lights were due to a subjective phenomenon known as the autokinetic sensation

And other posters are right. These are not uncommon. Now we are all getting to see how "not uncommon" they really are.
