http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2877089/postsPosters being banned left and right, long-time posters asking for their accounts to be deleted...it's schadenfreude time!
The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads.
-----------------
A LOT of people arent welcomed here any more. That hurts donations significantly.
-----------------
That's the fact of it...many long-time freepers do not feel "free" to discuss. I believe that the pendulum will swing back but in the mean-time FR will lose good people.
-----------------
Youre kidding, right? Ask all the people who have been run off over a simple difference of opinion if free discussion takes place here.
-----------------
This is the first thread where people have finally spoken up. I'm sure it will lead to another mass purge.
-----------------
Freepers, be on alert. Your freepmail is not private here.
-----------------
Jim (and others) continue to insult fellow conservative just because we now support the Republican nominee and he wonders why this freeperthon is going poor.
-----------------
I request to be immediately unsubscribed from Free Republic (or zotted or whatever you want to call it). Goodbye, Free Republic. It was nice to know you while it lasted.
-----------------
bye
-----------------
I used to be a dollar a day donor....no more
-----------------
Jim, your resistance is falling apart due to desertions and summary executions. And you have nobody to blame but yourself. Why anyone of even moderate intelligence would want to be a part of this anymore is beyond me. I do not. Please disable my account.

Not saying there are politicians untouched by finance; just saying that some are more touched than others.

(37,540 posts)Hope you stick around so you can engage in our conversation here. You can't be promoting Romney here for obvious reasons, but you can discuss issues that effect all of us. Here's the thing. Maybe 40 years ago, Republicans had a broad representation of different political views. Legislation in Congress got passed by coalitions of like minded Republicans and Democrats. Today's Republican Party is sick - it's sort of like FR...it allows only a conservative dogmatic fidelity and it's got no ideas or vision to deal with the structural issues facing this country. All they want to do is either obstruct the Democratic agenda or. worse, implement a psuedo-religious agenda that caters to the very well off while creating social conflicts in our society. Please focus on what's happening in Michigan and understand that the Republican endgame is to create the same 1 Party rule for the rest of this country.

People seem rather excited about what is going on at FR which is fine I guess but people need to take a look in the mirror first.
Both DU and FR are highly partisan sites
Both Site Owners have strict rules on what can and cannot be posted.
Both sites have factions within the sites that support each other too.
Both site ban posters who do not conform.
In reality there is not much difference between the two sites but if it makes one feel good mocking them, go for it...but it won't change anything nor get people jobs or medical care or a home but hey you will feel so much better mocking them!
