but most are too ignorant to understand that. Or they vote on one or two issues ... guns and abortion. They have been willfully brainwashed.

They don't look any different than me but they seem to have no compassion or empathy for people who haven't been as lucky or privileged as we were. I can't say that my life was particularly easy but I didn't feel overly burdened by what I paid to be a part of a functional society.
Most of those that consider themselves to be conservative tend to forget all the common social benefits that helped get them where they are today. The rest are the victims of 24/7 propaganda that any Russian from 40 years ago would have laughed at.
