Not a day goes by that I don't see possessives used here improperly in multiple posts. Everything that ends in an 's' doesn't need an apostrophe ie: "issue's". Sometimes it does. Many times it does not. And when possessives are improperly used, we look and sound really stupid. Learn basic English grammar. DUers need to learn what possessives are, when they are used.

because it doesn't make sense. But yea you're right. Expecting people to have learned basic English grammer by the time they're posting on DU is probably expecting too much.

Just saying, you're not alone. Inability to pluralize nouns ending in 'Y' also drives me nuts.
