5. Only some of the government...

Primarily, the politicians in Congress. They're the ones funneling tax dollars into the Federal Reserve, and otherwise doing little, if anything to improve economic conditions. The vast majority of the "government" consists of civil servants, such as park rangers, CDC workers, USDA food inspectors, soldiers, sailors, Marines, doctors and nurses in the VA hospitals, researchers in the various natural resources agencies, etc. They're getting screwed over like the rest of us. For the cartoonist to lump them in with the assholes in Congress, like Boehner and Cantor, is grossly unfair to these people.
