Oy. Looking at dental insurance ONLY.

For my 3 year old son, and even with family +1 dependant, it costs just notch under $100/month to cover our teeths at the low end (Anthem Blue)

Deductible is $150.

Tomorrow will be my son's first checkup - and the cost? $216 without insurance. Routine cleaning, Xrays and flouride protection.

We'll just take the money from our tax refund and pay for it.

1. For your child's dental needs - check out low-cost children's dental clinics.

Many areas have low / no cost basic dental clinics for kids, often underwritten by the local dental society. Google might have some leads. Also, you could contact the local dental society for ideas. iirc, most have some income standards / limits for access.

Good luck!

Everything else is 80% and a $250 family deductable. We have Delta Dental. Our premiums are way cheaper, too...about $20 a month.

Sounds like you all are getting the shaft.
