The Op Eds in the Washington Post and WSJ are

more proof that the media is by no means liberal.
The RWs cannot deal with Obama's Bin Laden success.
Where the fuck were they when Bush and Cheney were campaigning on fear?
Where the fuck were they when they were destroying John Kerry?

For once - deal with the facts. This was Obama's victory.

Bin Laden is Dead - GM is Alive.

And let them contort themselves into pretzels trying to counter reality. This story is being pushed by the Republicans, for some Rovian reason, and not the Democrats. Let' em keep flapping their pie holes...

And the hero became the goat and the goat (GWB) became the hero? I think that is what they are attempting right now. I smell bullshit.

They are trying to make Obama run away from his success and their failure.
He is no pushover like Kerry though - Dems learned from that experience.

Suck it up, GOP. When bin Laden was killed it was a political statement with and exclamation point at the end!

It was AWOL coward George W Bush who called off the dogs when they had Bin Laden cornered at Tora Bora. Fuck all these right wing blowhards. I would go even further and warn the electorate that if Mittens is elected we will be hit again.

partisan BS. It was 'their team' in power. The proof is now obvious for all to see as they switch and oppose what they once supported.

What I hope is that we do not become them. But I am seeing signs of people even on DU, who once opposed Bush policies, now apologizing for them. So how are the different?

to take down Bill Clinton. He survived because of superior intellect and sheer intestinal fortitude. They worked seamlessly with the Bush cartel to take down Al Gore and John Kerry with lies.
They reported the swift boat liars as if they were credible sources, never questioning them. By reporting the swift boat liars ads as news they made the false claims sound like news, thus making contributions in kind to the Bush cartel.
They reported Bush cartel claims regarding Al Gore as a liar as if they had credible sources.
The myth of the liberal media is still a myth. They are propagandists hiding behind the blatant propaganda spewed by Pox News. The major news outlets just water down Pox propaganda to make it palatable for general consumption.
Karl Rove is the most dangerous man in the world and still walks the streets after committing treason. There's something wrong here, something really wrong.

The assassination of our enemies is no victory. It may have the same result as a victory for a time, but the precedent it sets is as damning as a defeat.

But the myth is very strong, and even when it's shown to be horribly wrong, it returns in another guise to look palatable and attractive again.

Like the defeat John Kerry suffered in 2004? I wonder if Obama consulted with Kerry on how to proceed. I get the feeling he did. Let's see, lets all be good little liberals and turn the other cheek and let the right wing blowhards run all over him. Fuck that. Time to ride Bin Ladens" dead body all the way to November!

were jubilant when the news came out a year ago. The have replayed some of the celebrations in NYC that night and even recapped the sold-out Phillies game here when people chanted the ubiquitous "USA!" in the middle of the game

Now if the same media who helped to push the meme continue to suddenly reverse, these jubilant folks are going to see the hypocrisy and will hopefully revolt.
