Mitt Romney, you miserable piece of dung, President Jimmy Carter graduated from the USNA and ...

served with distinction as an officer in America's nuclear submarine force. (And those were the days when Hyman Rickover was in charge, which means that one needed to have one's shit TIGHTLY wired before they could even be considered for service aboard a nuke!)

Now, tell us about YOUR service, you lying, chickenhawk, shitstain, maggot-assed, dog-torturing, mom jeans-wearing, smegma smear!

The Dems in Washington jumped all over Hilary Rosen, even though she spoke truthfully about Ann Romney not having to worry about bringing home a paycheck to feed her children & pay the light bill.

But, here we have a non-military (during war-time) presidential candidate disrespecting a former president with a military history, and I'm not hearing the outrage. Why the hell not?

We need to start sticking up for our own & then poke fun at the idiots on the other side as they whine when we take the upper hand.

I hate getting mad at my own Party.

Edit: spelling

The Bravery of Being out of Range.

You have a natural tendency
To squeeze off a shot
You're good fun at parties
You wear the right masks
You're old but you still
Like a laugh in the locker room
You can't abide change
You're at home on the range
You opened your suitcase
Behind the old workings
To show off the magnum
You deafened the canyon
A comfort a friend
Only upstaged in the end
By the Uzi machine gun
Does the recoil remind you
Remind you of sex
Old man what the hell you gonna kill next
Old timer who you gonna kill next
I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Saw a U.S. Marine in a pile of debris
I swam in your pools
And lay under your palm trees
I looked in the eyes of the Indian
Who lay on the Federal Building steps
And through the range finder over the hill
I saw the front line boys popping their pills
Sick of the mess they find
On their desert stage
And the bravery of being out of range
Yeah the question is vexed
Old man what the hell you gonna kill next
Old timer who you gonna kill next
Hey bartender over here
Two more shots
And two more beers
Sir turn up the TV sound
The war has started on the ground
Just love those laser guided bombs
They're really great
For righting wrongs
You hit the target
And win the game
From bars 3,000 miles away
3,000 miles away
We play the game
With the bravery of being out of range
We zap and maim
With the bravery of being out of range
We strafe the train
With the bravery of being out of range
We gain terrain
With the bravery of being out of range
With the bravery of being out of range
We play the game
With the bravery of being out of range

Even Pat Robertson, although he got his rich father to get him out of the Korean War, put on the uniform.

Mitt Romney, when his country was at war, chose to get out of the country to avoid serving. He has so much more in common with Ted Nuggent than Jimmy Carter. Sure hope John Kerry chooses to respond to the punk Romney on this.

When I heard the "even" part I about fell out if my chair. Carter was selected to be among the first submarine officers to qualify nuclear - no small distinction. Coupled with the fact he'd already served as an XO means he was going to captain the most sophisticated, expensive, and deadly tip of the spear in the US arsenal. Carter always played down his military service, but there is no doubt he was one of the most squared away officers in uniform and was destined for flag rank. A far cry from door-belling in France or being forced to live off of investment income while going through Harvard.

The failure of Desert One fell on Carter. Rummy, et al say that the professionals deserve the applause for OBL, but Jimmy got all the blame when the joint services crashed out in the desert.

Their guy got several assurances from the parent Bain company for a no-fault startup before he agreed to "found" his successful outfit, Mitt is extremely risk averse. His success is based on using other people's money to strip other people's companies of their assets and pensions then he pockets millions in consulting fees as capital gains.
