She works in Midtown Manhattan; well, sort of- (Murray Hill area -37th and 5th). She was heading to 35th for a late lunch at the very same time OWS was walking in the same direction- So she walked among them for 2 blocks. Said she wished she had had time to continue on, as she is very sympathetic w/the cause.
I guess their destination is Union Square (near NYU) which ironically is just 3 blocks from where she lives. So she may stop by on her way home this evening if not too tired.
Nothing to report really, other than the fact that the NYPD was out in full force. Fingers crossed that all OWS'ers manage to stay safe. I guess I'll have to tune back in to their livestream. It's good to know that OWS is back at it. Yeah, yeah I know, they never actually went away. But it's good to hear that their momentum is really building again. She said that it was quite a crowd.
BTW- does anyone have a workable link to OWS livestream? I got on briefly a few minutes ago, but stupidly clicked out. and now can't back in. Keep getting error messages.

Here is Timcast, but I think he's done for today:

Some of these are very confusing. There was a page with the locations across the country but I can't find it.
Thanks for your report.

(3,186 posts)until clicking out to do this OP. Now I can't get back on, but will try the others you provided. I found it confusing too, but I do believe they are heading to Union Square based upon the rolling text info on the bottom of the Manhattan screen.
Thank you again for the links!

(53,661 posts)He'd just stopped and gave another link in case he got offline but he came back on. Great coverage. The secondary backup is:

Also on USA.. something.
People are locking arms around the fountain... Great chant a little while earlier about not giving up. Tim says police are about to move in...7:01 PST.

It seems to be Lieutenant Winski on the bullhorn -- the officer who was mercilessly lampooned a couple of weeks ago here:
Veterans for Peace are locking arms and standing their ground.
This is going to get interesting.
