With all the daunting and sobering events currently taking place in Syria, I can understand why one would write articles with a serious tone (I do so myself from time to time), I understand not everything in life is a joke, however, whether we want to admit it or not, laughter can be one of the best solutions to a completely negative situation. It has been scientifically proven that it makes humans feel better but also even relieve pain. This is attributed because of the release of endorphins as well as other chemicals in the brain. Of course, there are appropriate times to laugh, maybe at your relative’s funeral or in the toilet in a public bathroom filled with people aren’t the best times to laugh. However, despite all the atrocities committed by the Assad regime during the Syrian Revolution, there is room to laugh.

*I understand, there will be some Assad supporters reading this article, and from my personal experience with them (they don’t tend to be the sharpest tools in the tool shed).
