Is Jimmy Carter Romney's new boogeyman or something?

This is the best strategy Mittwit has? To invoke the name of a guy who hasn't been president for over 30 years? Who no one under 35 even remembers being president? How pathetic. Romney couldn't be more of an out-of-touch douche if he tried.

For the office of the President. And he certainly doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the most respected office in the land

like the fact that the Soviet Union was still sitting there with about the same number of nuclear missiles as the U.S. ... give or take ...

yes, gas prices were "high" (for the times) ... but that was because ... duh ... Iran had 52 AMERICANS hostage, which ...

would normally have set off a military action (it did, but the action blew up), but the Republicans were happy that the U.S. was still hating "war", due to Vietnam (which was so unpopular even with Repugs that Ted Nugent can get away with dissing the troops back then ... don'cha know it's all JFK & Johnson's fault? But Rs "love the troops" because they were fighting the dirty Reds - the Soviet Empire, as dangerous as it was)

in theRW orthodoxy, Jimmy Carter was the worst, girli-est, most FAIL president ever, so they associate him with Obama as much as possible so he looks like a FAIL too.

IKR?, they have nothing.

when he said he could live with Romney in the WH.

The Romney campaign seeks revenge for this endorsement, such as it is.

And the rest of his ilk, it's the Republican playbook, I don't know what page.

Do most voters even remember Jimmy Carter as President? I was a teenager when he was President, and I'm starting to close in on the half-century mark myself.

it will make sense for a group of RWers that have made bashing Jimmy Carter a pastime, but for most people Jimmy Carter is a decent ex-president and attacking him for no reason will seem weird.

one term "Democrat" President who couldn't lower gas prices. Of course, he's all hepped up on Rush Limpballs.

The GOPers dream of high gas prices.
