Well, it's May, and time for the Gideon's annual pilgrimage to my school

The Gideons have placed their Bibles inside our schools, but after someone complained to the Dallas Fox affiliate (I know, right) and a story was done, the Gideons now stand right at the exit of the school parking lots handing out their orange little Bibles.

I work in a very conservative community - over 80 percent in the county voted for McCain in 08. All local politicians are Republicans - a dem couldn't win dog catcher in this community. Plus, this is the hometown of congressman Ralph Hall (Bushbot), a member of the Tea Party caucus and the oldest member in the United States congress. Everyone here just assume that everyone else is a Republican. Except many know about me because of my outward pronouncements and some of my local LTTE in which I have attacked various editorials in our overly right wing local news publications.

Anyway, I was leaving work and thought of a devious plan as I was exiting our parking lot. I got to the exit, and rolled down my window. The gideon was nice and said hello and asked if I wanted a Bible. I said of course, and I stated we needed a real Christian in the White House. He said something like amen and agreed with me. I then stated then we need to make sure we re-elected Obama, said "goBama", and took off. I think he was a bit shocked by my statement.

Felt good, LOL.
