I love these things, if I time it right driving home it pops up right after I pass a curve and it's really really nice.

to wash out the Eta Aquarids. I've missed out on every meteor shower in the last year from either a full moon or cloud cover. Won't stop me from looking, though. Cold beer, comfy lawn chair, a lovely moon, fireflies, and a pack of good dogs at my feet. It'll still be heaven.

the moon does a two-fer this month... on the 20th it creates an annular eclipse!!! (also a saturday)
