http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/150-glenn-beck-will-help-women-realize-their-god-given-right-feel-prettyGlenn Beck took to his Facebook page this morning to announce the release of a new series of denim jeans and jackets from his 1791 clothing line and, in typical Beck fashion, he managed to do so in pretty much the most sanctimonious and self-aggrandizing way imaginable.
Beck explained that whenever he used to go shopping with his daughters, they could never find clothes that fit them properly and, as a result, he "vowed if I ever had a chance I would start a fashion line that was cool, hip, and great quality that would come in sizes that would fit."
Now that day has come and Beck is finally able to help the women of the world realize their "fundamental God given rights" to "feel pretty" and it is all thanks to "the power of a dads (sic) love for his daughter":...
Unfortunately for Beck, his announcement is not quite being met with the chorus of accolades that he apparently expected, but rather comment after comment from fans wondering exactly how they are supposed to be able to afford his new $150 jeans:

Description
Every Christmas Eve my sisters and I each got to open one present. And though we always acted surprised, we knew, without a shadow of a doubt, what we would find underneath the Christmas wrapping paper. For every year it was the same gift: pajamas. Pajamas that had been made for all of us by my grandmother, Clara. Every fall she would get one bolt of fabric at the store, and from it she made Christmas pajamas for everyone in our family. As the years past and we grew older my grandmother stopped making pajamas for us. I think she thought that we had grown out of the tradition, that we no longer cared whether or not they were waiting for us underneath the tree. But in truth, I never did grow out of it. I knew the time and the love that my grandmother had put into making the pajamas for us. I can still imagine Clara sitting behind her sewing machine in the evening sewing our pajamas, smiling with the thought of our excited faces as we open them. She created a memory and a tradition that I will always cherish and strive to preserve. A tradition that I have carried on with my children, and a tradition that we at 1791 would like to share with you. Earlier this fall, just like my grandmother, we got into the truck and bought a bolt of fabric (or two), and using the same basic pattern, we made our version of Claras Christmas pajamas. We hope that you will give them to your family and that you will see the same joy in your childrens faces when they open them that my grandmother saw in ours

(5,624 posts)5. Is this some kind of April Fools Day joke? $99 for a shirt from Glenn Beck? I don't think Lonesome
Roads Beck has ever been known for his sense of style. I've never heard anyone say "you know, that guy Glenn Beck may be nuttier than squirrel shit but he sure is a sharp dresser".
I wouldn't pay $160 for a pair of jeans even if Moammar Gadhafi was selling them.

(50,528 posts)6. Feel "pretty fucking stupid" for buying a $150 pair of jeans, right?
For $150 you can get...
one pair of Glenn Beck's overpriced trousers, and have to stay home tonight because you ran out of money to buy a shirt
OR
two complete outfits complete with all accessories
And..uhh, Glenn...is a woman dressed like a lumberjack your idea of the ultimate in feminine beauty?
